As far as helicopter dog parents go -- I should have a gold medal. I trust basically no one with our dog, and I have extremely high standards for her care and safety. Roo is a sweet but very timid/skittish rescue dog -- so boarding is not currently an option for us. We recently had a trip planned we could not miss, and our dog could not come. We reached out to Shannon's Collar club after reading great reviews and looking at their different ala carte options.

We had a wonderful meet and greet, where 3 very professional employees showed up. All the right questions were asked, and after about 30 seconds of apprehension, Roo made 3 new friends.

We started off using them for some midday walks while we are at work, to let Roo get to know the people who would be staying with her. Holly stayed in our home for 2 nights, and we also had her come and spend several hours there during the day to keep Roo company. Roo is a quirky dog, very stubborn, and needs some special food/meds now -- Holly was amazing with following all the directions to a T, and she sent thorough regular updates, along with pictures.

I was so nervous to leave Roo in someone else's care (she's only ever been watched by family since getting her about 8 months ago), but within a few hours of us leaving and getting our first update from Holly, I was able to take a deep breath. Holly truly treated Roo like her own dog, and not only fed, walked, and slept with her, but gave her so much love and attention. We also don't have a fenced yard, so we rely on several walks daily -- Holly had no problem giving her thorough, long walks, making sure she went to the bathroom as expected.

This has been an amazing experience, and it's opened up a door for us to be able to travel a little bit more, now that we know there is a company we trust with Roo. We'd love to use Holly again, but we would also be comfortable with any employee in the company -- I believe they are all vetted very well, and held to a high standard of care and customer service.

"Shannon’s been walking my dog about 4 times a week for a few months now and she is amazing! My boxer loved her immediately and it’s very clear that Shannon cares a lot about the dogs she works with.
